Compile was a Japanese publisher of very productive video games between 1982 and 2003 (date of its final closure) who marketed excellent titles on MSX. Let's mention a few small jewels such as Aleste, Aleste 2, Aleste Gaiden, Golvellius, Guardian, Puyo Puyo, Randar or the series of Zanac. A role as a talented developer therefore but not since Compile will release a magazine on diskette exclusively for MSX, a small revolution at the time and a real gold mine for us who could then discover great titles and thousands of demos, info, utilities, etc. on our favorite support. The Disc Station from 1988 to 1992 MSX then on another medium (PC-98 and PC under WindowsFrom 1992 until the end of the magazines in 2000.
There were 33 numbers of the Disc Station on MSX. The first volume was stamped zero #00 and marketed in July 1988 (2 x 2DD of 720KB compatible MSX2 and 2+). December 1989 Compile come out his first Disc Station delivered with a Audio CD 8 cm with play music. After #32 numbers is the end of the adventure MSX for Compile which will be released in December 1991.
