Akihabara – April 2012

In April 2012, I had the chance to spend a week in Tokyo for a vacation. Obviously, I could not miss a visit to Akihabara, this emblematic neighborhood where electronics stores compete with noise and animations to attract passersby with their promos and novelties.

My goal? Find Super Potato, the legendary shop dedicated to retrogaming. I was sure to find games MSX Hey! And what a surprise when you arrive: a veritable cave of Ali Baba, filled with consoles and games from the time, often in an impeccable state despite their used status. The MSX proudly held it alongside the Famicom, Dreamcast, PC-Engine and others Super Famicom.

I also explored Trader, another storeAkihabara, more discreet, but offering often more attractive prices.

Here are some pictures of my discoveries in these Nippon retrogaming temples!
