The story about Hi No Tori –
Hi No Tori is originally a manga of Osamu Tezuka who won in 1970 the Kōdansha Cultural Prize in the category of children's manga. It is a collection of stories taking place in medieval Japan and the world of the future, turning around the legendary phoenix, a bird of fire whose blood makes immortal.
Each volume can be read independently, and starts as early in the history of Japan and later in the future of space. As the series progresses, these extreme periods approach the present. The animated series was adapted by the Toho and broadcast in 1978 on Japanese screens. Several films and OAVs will be released but only in Japan. Alone Tonkam in France will adapt (more or less well) manga in our language.
It's the publisher. Konami who in 1987 decided to adapt a game to the series by launching Hi No Tori on MSX 2 in MegaRom. A slap for the time. A sublime game whose graphics at its release make all the owners of other competing machines shudder. The game was only released in Japanese on Japanese soil and only a few stores including MSX Video Center in Paris 12 will risk offering it in parallel import. I was one of the game's buyers in 1988. I remember that all the copies left like rolls.

And here is a wonderful musical remake on a part of the music of the game! A pure treat! I really love these musics.
