About

The Super System Card 3.0 is a HuCARD that inserts into the cartridge port of your PC-Engine or CoreGrafx. It is designed to work with the CD-ROM2 player (or the Duo-integrated Super CD-ROM2), updating the BIOS system and increasing the memory required for the proper functioning of Super CD-ROM2 games.

In particular, it enables:

  • Spin all Super CD-ROM2 games, which are not compatible with System Card 1.0 or 2.0.

  • Benefit from extended RAM (256 Kb instead of 64 Kb), essential to load richer music, animations and vocal sequences.

  • Access a revised system interface, with integrated audio playback and backup options.

The most emblematic titles of the medium (like Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, Ys IV or Sapphire) This version 3.0 is required to work.

Know for collectors

  • This HuCARD is mandatory if you are using an original CD-ROM2 player (white version or CoreGrafx) and want to play Super CD-ROM2 tracks.

  • On consoles PC-Engine Duo or Duo-R, this card is not necessary because the BIOS 3.0 is already integrated.

  • There is also a Arcade Card Duo version even more advanced, but only required for some very specific games.

Compact, elegant and crucial, the Super System Card Ver. 3.0 is a masterpiece for any PC-Engine CD-oriented collection. Whether you're a player or collector, it's a must to enjoy the most ambitious library in the console.
