Return of Ishtar is the continuation of The Tower of Druaga released on MSX in 1986. It's an RPG edited by Namco (Namcot on MSX). Developed by Game Studio Namco, this role and action game is part of the series Babylonian Castle Saga
It is distinguished by its two-player cooperative gameplay, a novelty for the time, and by the introduction of a password system allowing players to take their game back where they left it.
The game is complete and works perfectly. If you have an S-RAM cartridge (FM-Pac, PAC or other), you can save your progress in the game.

About
The history of Return of Ishtar starts directly after the events of the first game. Ki and Gil, both protagonists, must escape from the Tower of Druaga they just conquered.
Pursued by the inhabitants of the tower seeking to avenge their former master, heroes have to cross 128 rooms spread over 60 floors.
Ki, a priestess mastering magic, and Gil, a prince wielding the sword, must unite their forces to survive this perilous descent and escape the dangers that await them at every level.
