Blades of Destiny
A music album inspired by the great Japanese JRPG OST, in the spirit of Ys and the Falcom sound of the 1980s–90s.
Fast and heroic themes alternate with more laid pieces, evoking exploration, fighting and long-term travel.
A retro atmosphere assumed, thought for lovers of MSX, Japanese microcomputers and soundtracks that tell an adventure as much as a game.

About
This album is a musical tribute assumed to the universe of Ys and the legendary style of Nihon Falcom.
We find everything that made the strength of the great Japanese soundtracks of the 1980s–90s:
Heroic themes immediately memorizable, melodies carried by emotion, and a constant energy that evokes adventure, journey and self-exhaustion.
Each track has been thought of as a JRPG scene :
– epic opening,
– themes of more intimate villages,
– fast and tense fighting music,
– narrative pieces more contemplative, to the ends charged with melancholy.
The album does not try to copy, but to recreate a sensation :
the one we felt when we launched a floppy disk or a cartridge, when a few notes were enough to project us into a world bigger than us.
Whether one thinks of the wind-swept plains, the perched cities, the desperate battles or the roads travelled alone, this album is meant to be a Love letter to the great OST Falcom, adapted to modern sensitivity, while respecting their DNA.
A project designed for those passionate about MSX, PC-88, PC-98and for all those who still consider that music is an integral part of the soul of a game.
