About
Originally designed for arcade terminals, Circus Charlie was quickly adapted on several platforms, including MSX, Commodore 64 and NES. The game consists of six separate events, each with a different side of the circus. The success of the game is based on its simple but addictive playability, as well as its lively musical atmosphere, taking on airs such as « American Patrol » and « The beautiful blue Danube ».
The idea of Circus Charlie was born after a member of Konami's management saw the silent film of 1928. « Circus », staging Charlie Chaplin. This inspiration is reflected in the main character and universe of the game.
