About

In this game, you embody an intrepid explorer browsing Egyptian pyramids in search of precious gems. Each level is a maze filled with traps and puzzles, requiring reflection and dexterity to progress.

Scenario: In the distant future, the interplanetary archaeologist Vick XIII discovers that terrestrial pyramids are in reality defective alien devices, threatening to destroy the planet. Your mission is to disable El Giza's main functions to save the Earth. Ah, it's completely tarabiscoty as a script, but it's funny to read it again in the leaflet!

Level Editor: A notable feature of Kings Valley II is its built-in level editor, allowing players to create and save their own internships on diskette or cassette. Custom levels are interchangeable between MSX1 and MSX2 versions, offering considerable playability. We exchanged our levels being young, it was pure madness. We spent all night creating levels so our friends could try to solve them. Too good!

Versions: A very rare version, said « competition »contains 20 personalized levels from a contest organized by Japanese magazines such as MSX FAN and Beep. The winners received a gold cartridge containing these exclusive internships. The latter is almost impossible or at astronomical prices!

Musical anecdote: Compositions « In Search of the Secret Spell » and « Sandfall » of the Kings Valley II have been reused in the game Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on Nintendo DS, showing the lasting influence of his soundtrack.

Interestingly, Konami has developed two separate versions of Kings Valley II One for the MSX1 and the other for the MSX2, the latter offering graphic improvements and additional features. However, the MSX2 version has never been marketed in Europe, making the MSX1 RC760 version particularly popular among European collectors.
