Released in 1985 on MSX under the reference RC727, Kings Valley drags the player into Egyptian pyramids filled with jewels, narrow passages, traps and mummies. The principle is simple on paper, but fearlessly effective: recover all the treasures of a level then find the exit, while digging or opening the way at the right time without blocking oneself.

It is precisely this mixture between action, reflection and level design tricky who made the reputation of the game. King的s Valley is often ranked among the most important Konami titles of the pre-MegaROM period on MSX, with this ability to offer an immediate but fine enough concept to make you want to come back again and again.

For a MSX collection, it is a very interesting piece because it belongs to the first large Konami wave, before the publisher pushes its productions even further with the large cartridges of the following years. Its importance is also visible in the fact that it has undergone a continuation, Kings Valley II, then numerous reissues and inclusions on compilations.
