This compilation brings together several sports titles developed by Konami on MSX, in a period when the publisher literally dominated the Japanese video game scene on microcomputer. It includes typical sports adaptations and variants from the late 1980s, with all the technical quality that made Konami productions famous on MSX2.

This type of "Game Collection" was particularly popular in Japan: Konami combined several games on a single floppy disk to offer thematic compilations at reduced prices. The Vol.4 is dedicated to the Sports series, with a very representative selection of the Japanese arcade/simulation style of the time.
But today, the main interest of this piece far exceeds the games themselves. Konami's RA compilations have become highly sought after collectible objects, especially because they represent the last years of the publisher's MSX production before its gradual shift to consoles. Complete editions with their original packaging are now difficult to find in a clean condition.
The copy proposed here is particularly visually beautiful. The jacket has still very bright colours, with the typical silver and purple design of Konami collections from the late 1980s. The set also keeps its original Konami plastic box as well as the current user manual, which becomes rare on this series.
