First opus of the Xak series, he invites players to play the role of Latok Kart, a young séiste charged with saving the world of Xak from the forces of evil. Xak: The Art of Visual Stage offers a real-time RPG experience where the player controls Latok across various regions, facing monsters and solving puzzles. Music selection

During the game, press F4 and choose a piece of background music (BGM).

Hidden game

  1. Turn on your MSX and insert the diskette 3.
  2. Run the command: RUN "OMAKE.BAS".
  3. This will launch Xak Shucchoban GoGo Pixie, a mini-game where you play Pixie.
    • An apology message appears at the beginning, indicating that the game is incomplete and should be finalized in Xak II (but was finally completed in Fray).
    • The gameplay is limited: you can only move Pixie horizontally with keyboard arrows or joystick, and exit with RETURN or button 1.

Debug Mode

  1. Connect a controller or joypad in the port 1.
  2. Access the main menu and select the Option 6 (which seems to be an empty space).
  3. Maintaining button 1, enter the following sequence:
    • Upper, Upper, Lower, Lower, Right, Left, Right, Left, Button 2
  4. The debug menu will display, allowing to:
    • Easily edit cards.
    • Adjust the amount of gold possessed.
    • Options « Super Latok » and « Level » Seems deactivated.
