Originally released in the late 1980s (in June 1991 to be exact), Ys III: Wanderers from Ys marks a notable break in the Ys series. Developed by Nihon Falcom, this episode abandons the view from the top of the first opus to offer a gameplay in horizontal scrolling, more action oriented and precision.

This version Super Famicom, edited by Tonkin House, adapts the game to the console format with a reworked presentation, more detailed graphics and a soundtrack faithful to the spirit of the series, known for its striking compositions.

There is Adol Christin in an adventure centered on the Felghana region, with a progression combining exploration, fighting and boss clashes. The game system is based on simple but demanding mechanics, typical of the productions of the period.

This episode remains special today in the Ys chronology, being the only one in the main series to adopt this gameplay style, making it an interesting piece for both players and collectors.
