Hydrlide (K7)
Published in the mid-1980s, Hydrlide is part of the very first games to lay the foundations of the Action-RPG Japanese. Developed by T&E Soft, this is the version on audio cassette, referenced TET-54, which was one of the first forms of distribution of the game on MSX, long before its release in cartridge.

You always embody Jim, a lonely hero confronted with hostile creatures in an open world, to save Princess Ann from demon Varalys. We will have to explore, fight, and evolve in level while managing our health with care. Real-time gameplay based on the alternation between attack and defense mode prefigures future great names of the genre.
The K7 version TET-54 is today an object of rare collection, often accompanied by its illustrated jacket and original paper documentation. It represents a Japanese video story and the beginning of a current that would influence generations of developers.
